On the last day of the EXECOM-YES (Young European entrepreneurs meet-up) event on the 10th of April 2010 in Elche, Alicante, I asked Chris Hughes (one of Facebook‘s co-founders and the manager of Barack Obama’s online campaign) what was the most important lesson he had learned as an individual during the past few years, mainly from the success of Facebook and of the Obama campaign.

My question came after a young “mom-trepreneur” thanked him for being an inspiration to her through these difficult economic times.

He also announced the launch later this year of a startup he founded called Jumo.com, and which will “revolutionize the way people engage with the world”. Quoting from their welcome email: “Pretty soon, you’ll be able to connect to the issues, people and organizations that are important to you and find opportunities for meaningful action.”

Here are a few pics from the event and Chris’s answer in video. Sorry about the quality, was a few rows back and the iPhone can’t work miracles yet.
