EFMN – European Foresight Monitoring Network

Project Description:

EFMN portal was one of the first major projects that we undertook. The EFMN correspondents network needed a new platform to publish and access briefs and articles generated by this research project funded by the European Commission.

We managed to convert a huge database to the format used by the new platform, and we successfully implemented a novel search method using two parameters.

We also assisted EFMN with the organization, in 2007 and 2008, of two Correspondent’s day meetings with the main contributors to the network.

Client Information:

The EFMN is a network of policy professionals, foresight experts and practitioners as well as analysts of Science, Technology and Innovation related issues. The EFMN develops foresight related content, analyzed in an annual workshop and disseminated via a website and mailing list. Membership of the network is free.

The European Commission under its Framework Programme 7 is providing the means to continue the important networking activities of foresight initiatives. Setting out on the previous work of the European Foresight Monitoring Network and ForLearn the new European Foresight Platform resumes its work. We are grateful to the community of correspondents and their valuable contributions that have filled EFMN activities with life so far and we hope to continue the fruitful work.

In the past, the EFMN-Briefs, of which 160 are displayed on this website, were a great success. We are now launching the first call of the next generation of Briefs, now called EFP Briefs.
