Project Description:
We were contacted by our partner in London to provide the code for this website based on existing designs, while keeping the client’s corporate image intact. We have used layout elements consistent with the client’s main website while creating a new space for displaying the artists and their works, as well as a photo gallery page for the community photos taken for this project.
Client Information:
Strata SE1 is the tallest residential building in central London. Developed by Brookfield Europe it comprises 408 high quality apartments in two architecturally prestigious buildings both with space for shops and restaurants below.
To mark the completion of Strata SE1, Brookfield has funded bursaries in the form of an annual competition to sponsor local talent at one of the world’s foremost art and design institutions – Camberwell College of Arts.
Working with the College, Brookfield set their artists the open challenge of creating a piece of public art which best depicts community and sustainable living in the Elephant & Castle. From a swathe of entries submitted by students, twelve were shortlisted by a panel of judges.
The pieces are all on display in the temporary gallery, including the top four entries which will form an integral part of Strata SE1 over the course of the year. The winning submission is already in place in the building’s foyer.
The quality of submissions received were outstanding, showing real creativity and vision.
